5 Pillars Project Report

At Waves for Change, we’re always thrilled to work alongside innovative, trusted programmes to increase access to locally-relevant, community-run mental health services. 

In 2019, we partnered with Elman Peace to pilot the W4C 5 Pillar method in Mogadishu, Somalia and integrate the methodology into Elman’s daily activities at Interim Care Centres (ICC) to support the reintegration of young people affected by conflict. 

We’re excited to share that Elman and W4C have been evaluating and refining the 5 Pillar activities and will scale the approach throughout ICCS in Somalia through training workshops, beginning in 2022-23.
